Private Sector Development

Our Role

We designed and implemented private sector growth strategies, supporting associations, trade bodies, and corporate entities across East and Southern Africa.
  • Designed growth hub pilot programmes in the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT) and Rwanda’s Central Eastern (Bugesera – Rwamagana – Kayonza) regions for TradeMark East Africa’s five-year strategy using the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) market systems approach.
  • Provided consultancy services to design strategies and strengthen internal systems for more than 12 regional and national private sector associations and civil society organisations in Uganda and Kenya to promote regional integration and trade.
  • Conducted a study to establish and record the current status of corporate governance in Africa and assess the implications for the African Development Bank’s strategy to promote corporate governance in Africa.
  • Conducted a study and developed a reward and recognition programme for Bindura Nickel Corporation for the attraction, development and retention of critical technical and leadership staff at their flagship mine in Zimbabwe.
